Speshul Treet

I guess I may as well put up my super short story. I don't feel like really writing today.
"Delicious. Oh, how I do love almonds, and how I love their oh-so-tasty aroma," Salvatore sang to himself, prancing about his kitchen. Sal was a well known chef in his day, stirring up many a spicy dish. But no more. This was his last. His finale was  going to be as grand as any, hopefully even more so. He turned off the oven to get a taste of his newest meal. He turned on his TV, and plopped down into his ever-so-comfy recliner. As he watched the news for a short time, he sucked in every aspect of his dish. Sal frowned, mumbling, "Hmm, not quite ready. Needs more pepper."

He arrived at the meeting early, to carefully add the finishing touches on his final masterpiece. The President was going to there, Sal knew. If Sal could impress him, one of the most powerful men in the world, his life would be complete. He readied everything to be served, and one by one everything was laid out for all the men and women at the table. As was customary, Sal, the chef, was to introduce the current dish. "Well, Sal, you've practiced this so many times. You know what to do... here goes nothing."

     There were no survivors.

And in case the meanings escape you:
Almonds = The smell of C4
Kitchen = Lab
Chef = Bombmaker
Spicy Dish = Explosives
Meal = Explosion
Oven = Remote detonator safety
Pepper = Blackpowder

Plight or Delight?

I love my computer. It runs. That's my number 1 requirement.

But I need more. I have four games I need to play on the computer. The aforementioned Minecraft, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Oblivion.

But I cannot. Sadly.

So I did some research. And I found out that SCREW THAT I DON'T HAVE $1000.
So I did some more research. And found out that it costs about $300, give or take, to assemble my own computer that runs like the $1000+ ones.

Still, don't have 300 bones to fork over, but it's better than $1000 for a computer that'll probably die in a month or so.

In the words of my idol:
"NAH NAH, WHY DON'T YOU GET A JOB."

Meinkraft est mein kraft.

Managed to get Minecraft working on my craptop. Fantastic game, what with the mechanisms and such.
Still runs slow, but it's worth it.

Although I have to turn the Mobs(aka monsters) off, since I don't want one of these guys:

to live up to their name of Creeper, and creeping up and EXPLODING.

Other than that, all's good, brah.

Nana Anna Nana

Ever watch the anime Nana? Ever hear of it? Because this post is hardly related to it.

The opening of the show has the song "Rose" by Anna Tsuchiya. And I am fairly obsessed with her.

Not hard to see why.

She has a fantastic voice, in my opinion.

That's up to you to decide.

Even if you decide wrong.

Überleet

I woke up early this morning. As in 1PM. I couldn't back to sleep, big surprise.
So me, being who I am, randomly decided to hack my video games.

I didn't have enough time to figure things out on my own, however I did come across this video for modifying the wastescape of Fallout 3.

So far I haven't gotten it figured out, since my Autosave is corrupting, and it crashes when I leave the room. But I'll figure it out.

Or not. Can't say for sure.

On My Own, Here We Go

I had maybe a half our of sleep last night. It was my fault entirely. I was composing music on the keyboard. And by the time I was ready to stop, it was maybe 5:00. I figured I wouldn't make it to school if I fell asleep. So I forced myself to stay up until my bus pulled up. And I napped. For a short time. Then I went back to composing music in ACID Pro. Without a keyboard this time.

Now I'm so out of it. So. Very. Out. Of. It.

This sucks.

Totally worth it.

Before You Travel On

On Tuesday, the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Lonesome Road, came out. And I have been waiting for it since I got the game, all those months ago. Yeah, waiting months for a DLC.

Worth it.
"Lonesome Road brings the Courier's story full circle when you are contacted by the original 'courier six', a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum chip at the start of the main storyline in Fallout: New Vegas. In his transmission, Ulysses promises the answer as to why, but only if you take one last job - a job that leads you into the depths of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by frequent earthquakes and violent storms. This is the fabled location of the battle between the Courier and Ulysses. The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few to ever walk the road, none have ever returned." - The Vault

It was pretty amazing, albeit a pain.  At least a couple of short parts are. There are this lizard men called "Tunnelers", which are more or less Sleestak wannabes.

Jealous?

I hate them. They do just as their name implies. The dig. And they're cowards. AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM. So the hiding makes them hard to kill. They're not as bad as Deathclaws, though. Those are some evil beasts.

Also, you blow up nuclear warheads with lasers. Love it.

MIDIvil (Medieval? MIDI evil?)

So I got my MIDI-USB cable last night, as projected. And it just plain pissed me off.
I plug it into my computer, I plug it into my MIDI keyboard, I put the batteries into the keyboard, and I turn it on. I pull up ACID Pro, my music editing software, and I try to configure it to detect my MIDI device. And to my surprise, despite having installed properly, it wasn't there. I open up a piano program to try that out, and it happened to show up. I band on the keyboard(the musical one), but alas, nothing.

After some research I found... nothing. Not a damn thing. No reason, no solution, it was a true first.
As a last resort, I tried a good old fashioned power cycle. And to my surprise, it worked. Almost.

I open the program up again, ACID Pro, and I try to configure it. And it was there. Finally. It showed up.
I set it up, opened up a MIDI track, and smash on the keyboard again. AND MUSIC CAME OUT. It works. Absolutely lovely. And then...

I pulled out the MIDI part, so I can try the guitar out. Set up the guitar, check back in the program. And then... again, nothing. This thing clearly hates me. I restart my computer, load it all up, and it seems that now the guitar works. I switch it back to the keyboard, and the same damn thing happens.

Apparently I have to reboot each time I plug in or switch out the instruments.

This thing is evil.
I hate you, MIDI cable.

Rockin' Out Rock Band

SO. I found out that the Rock Band 3 "Pro Controllers" can be used as MIDI instruments. Which is a good thing, since it means that all the money spent on buying them isn't going to go to waste. Because the game is terrible. I'm not a hyper talented musician, so I prefer the classic 5-Fret/One-"String" layout of the other Rock Band and Guitar Hero controllers.

So anyway, I ordered a cord to allow the MIDI to plug into a computers USB port. Using this, I'll be able to play guitar on my computer. And keyboard. With a guitar. And a keyboard.

More or less, anyway.

Oh My, I Forgot This is a Thing.

Been a while, eh?
Haven't seen the blog since (I believe) before the summer.

I have a treat for you, persons. I've taken a foray into the art of musical creation.

I've created two song which I'm satisfied with. And I shall post them. Oh me, oh my.

And another.

Ask not of the unicorn. It's for the best.

Nuclear Winter Wonderland

I love Gamefly. Absolutely love it. I got Fallout: New Vegas from them on Saturday, and simply allowing me to play this game has made them the greatest company ever.

It's very expansive, much like Oblivion, with which it shares an engine. It focuses much more heavily on firearms and projectiles than Oblivion, considering it takes place in 2281. The melee weapons still exist, they're just less common or useful than the firearms. Especially since there is a time-stopping targeting system, which allows you to aim at pre-selected parts of the enemies body. Oh, and the one thing Oblivion was missing was the taking of heads. I literally have said that before. New Vegas fixed that.

You can make heads and limbs simple explode, tossing chunks of flesh everywhere. Also, for the most part, they always remain there.

Mister New Vegas, signing off.

Beyond Good & Sanity

I bought Beyond Good & Evil HD a couple days ago. It's a graphically-improved version of Beyond Good & Evil. It's the same game, otherwise. So it's a great game. Until the final boss.

Video mostly unrelated.

The final boss sucked. It was easy enough for the first part. Then half way through, 5 clones of a guy with an invincible shield. He can be attacked, but only right after he attacks. When you beat them, which luckily only takes one hit each, he reverses your controls. Up is down, left is right, forwards is backwards, and Twilight doesn't suck. No, wait, not that last part. Ever. In any reality.

Also, my health is only at two hearts, and I couldn't get any healing items. Also, he raises you up on a pillar and attacks you personally. He teleports to one of five directions, relative to your location. I had a split second to hit him when he teleports, with reversed controls, and also one hit takes half my health. If I survive the nigh-invincible onslaught with health.

I borked my wireless controller trying to beat him.
Also, "borked" is not a typo. It's "broke", but weird on purpose.

Malkovich malkovich, malkovich?

I'm somewhat scarred, and somewhat in love. I saw Being John Malkovich yesterday. It's was strange, and I loved that. But there was one scene that really horrified me. The one where he entered his own mind.
Essentially.
Over all it was amazing. I love movies that literally make me say "What the hell is going on?" And this was one of them. Other than the shock of seeing the hot body melt into a face of an ugly, balding man, it was perfect. I have no doubt that Spike Jonze wanted that shock, though. So yeah.

T-Recks?

So I drew a picture. A secret one. Not for your hypothetical eyes. But it is pretty sweet. It's got like, a scientist riding a T-rex that is fighting a robot with a fleet of UFOs shoot at a ghost that's flying above a pirate ship that's shooting cannonballs at an army of water-tunnel-surfing sharks, but some of the cannonballs went rogue and hit a zombie that's in front of a ninja with a jetpack that is leading a unicorn into a one-ninja ambush.

I think that's about it. Oh, and a ninja is breaking the fourth-wall with his mystical ninja-ness.

Wake Up

I has GameFly. I've gotten two games so far. Final Fantasy XIII, and Wet. Both pretty good. FFXIII was too linear for me, and Wet was too short. Alan Wake is next, and I don't know why, since it was at the bottom of my queue. I had like 20 games ahead of it. Hopefully Fallout 3 or New Vegas comes next. But Alan Wake is what I have, and Alan Wake is what I shall play.

I have no idea of what to expect from it. At all. I know the story, I know the premise, and I know that they have a lot of product placement for a game. Hope it doesn't suck.

Combustible Lemons

I got Portal 2 on Saturday. Saturday night. And I beat it on Sunday. Sunday morning. For a grand total of... 5 hours. Not much time for a video game. But in those 5 hours, I couldn't stop laughing. And tearing out my hair out. Cave Johnson is my favorite part. He is the best. Like, ever.

Get this game. Even if you don't like the gameplay or story, the dialog alone is enough to make anyone shell out $40 for this game. Like, seriously.

(Hulu+)+xbox360=Crap

I've tried my hardest to watch some things on Hulu Plus. I really did. They had a good selection, with a more up-to-date library than Netflix. But the service is awful. It has ads still. It's supposed to be less than the free Hulu service, which they do. But the fact that it's a paid service should mean that it's ad free. And then on top of that, it crashes every few minutes. It's not just me, and my bad connection. I have a few people telling me the same thing is happening to them. My advice: The $7 subscription is not worth it. Buy a freaking DVR. At least TV only goes down in bad weather.

In Tents

Oh, hey. If anyone important, aka not you, reads this, they know by now that I take on some random and fairly ambitious projects. Well, to be blunt, screw that. I've decided to log any idea I have, and save it for the future. Probably. If not, I'll sift through it, and at least make sure I get credit for whoever I give the idea to. I am a genius, after all. Everyone wants my ideas. Even you.

... Go. Go away, you. I'm watching you. You know that. Don't you?
You know I know that you know that I know you know.

Freedom?

My friend has a 360. A broken 360. That he wanted to blow up. So I asked for it. And I got it. Rad.
Now I just need to fix up. Easy enough. I hope. Free xbox, with a hopefully quick-fix.

Okay then. Good day.

Vanille L'Aic?

I played Final Fantasy XIII on the weekend. Fun game, but a bit too linear for me. The animation/graphics and most of the voice acting was great. Most of the voice acting. Vanille has the worst voice I've ever heard in a game that wasn't funny-bad.
Her.

The accent is mostly Australian, but switches to British or American every few words. And it sounds awful. I hope that the voice actor doesn't actually speak like that all the time. And if she does, I'm so very sorry for you.

By the way "L'Aic" is supposed to be pronounced "La-ice". And "Vanille" is "Va-kneel". Just FYI.

Unce Apon a Midnight Dreary

xkcd? Whazzat? The only webcomic that I don't like the art style of, but still love the comic. The amount of nerd crammed into each individual strip is amazing. I particularly loved the cross-over one-off of Poe and Daft Punk.
This.
Wunderbar, ja?

Eventful.

Yesterday, I watched a couple of zombie movies. I feel fulfilled.
I did little else. I mowed. Most thrilling day of my life.

My lack of a computer, which limits my internet access to about 2 hours a day, which is low by normal standards, but made worse by the fact that it only works with a slow connection. If the connection is to good, it slows it down. I swear. It really wouldn't be so bad, if I could charge my phone and use it at the same time. But I can't. Pisses me right off.

CIAO, DOODZ.

Sudo Make Me a Sandwich

I like FortressCraft. It's essentially an unofficial xbox port of Minecraft. But not really, since a port uses the original resources, for the most part. So it's really just a clone of it, on the xbox. It's an unfinished indie clone of an unfinished indie clone. Love it.

I also like Kudo. It's a game maker. It's also on xbox. Oh what fun.

Nice and Steamy

I HATH RETURN-ED. I must say, I enjoyed my week off. Watched a lot of Doctor Who. As in, the whole of the 3rd Series. And also, I started watching Torchwood. Loved it.

ANYWAY, Nitrome FINALLY released Steamlands. I only just played it. It it... interesting? I like interesting. Interesting is good. Unique is interesting. Steamlands is unique. FULL CIRCLE. MOVING ON.

I kinda got stumped right away. I got that you need to drag the blocks to attach them to the tank. And that you need to control the lever with the mouse to move back and forth. I got that much. But I had no idea how to finish the level. No explanation. But I got lucky, and just let it run forward. Ended the level when it ran off the screen. Ended in a good way... I GOT 5000 POUNDS. THATS LIKE 5000 QUID... Wait, pounds and quid are one-in-the-same, right? I MEANT TO SAY 8000 USD.

Where I can cash out?

Monday, April 11, 2011

Well, Damn.

I want to make a, well, something. I'd try a comic again, but I can't do that right now, since Ubuntu doesn't play nice with Photoshop. And also I'm lazy. So there's that.
I also need to work on poses. I can draw head-on, front-facing quite well. But that doesn't do good in comics. Or drawing, for the most part.

Well, damn. Again.

Enjoy'd.

I played a bunch of demos over the weekend. I only really liked two of them, though. Beautiful Katamari was kinda fun. Really, really weird, but fun. And then I played a demo for WET. And loved it. A whole lot. So that's another game/thing added to my "What I What; What I Can't Have" list.

Crap.

Mmm, cake.

I want it. Portal 2. I never played the first one until last week, and I loved it. I've known about it for a long time, thanks to Jonathan Coulton.
He wrote the closing song, Still Alive. And it's pretty funny.

But, again, a money related dilemma. Since I have a complete lack of it.

Monday, April 4, 2011

BIDS STARTING AT $300.

I looked up my site worth over the weekend. According to one source(the rest refuse to tell me), it's worth a pretty penny. I'll sell it for $600+. If that doesn't work, I'll shift it down to half that.

It's not a trap, I swear.

MAC-GUYVER.

Actually windows/*nix/Asus, but lets just leave that title.

SO. My laptop broke. Like, in half. PERFECT BIFURCATION. But the motherboard, and even all of the modules, save the HDD. Lucky for me, I had a spare. So I stripped the rest of the case off, popped in the new HDD, and BAM. Fixed. It looks cool, too, since the motherboard is exposed. The downsides? One, it's not portable anymore. Two, I can't use windows for some reason, only Ubuntu. And flash on Ubuntu is fail. And three, the goddamn mirror screen won't work, so I have to prop my laptop screen against the wall. No case to hold it. Of course, a new casing will fix two of the issues. But I kinda can't do that. I can make one, though. I SHOULD MAKE IT OUT OF DUCT TAPE. That'd be really, really epic.

YOUR TEARINK ME APART, LIZZA

Every year, [as] does something weird for April 1st. Last year, it was the anime fart noises. The year before I BELIEVE was the extra extra extra small ATHF movie.
This year they played a god awful movie called The Room.
Look it up. lazy.

Your so awesome. I'm so awesome. Everything is so awesome.

Did you ever notice when you stay up really late, you're always either really tired or really hyper the next day? Well, today, I'm the latter. Also, I'm trippin' on Monster. So it's a good day.

Monday, March 28, 2011

Awesome?

I got bored. So last night, I coded up a quick page.
It's kinda awesome. But needs some work.
Link withheld for now.

And probably forever.

Dood. Finally.

My drive came on Saturday. It does work. Danke Gott. So I installed it. Worked like a charm. Instantly perfect. Except, I couldn't go outside. I could move into any room inside a building. But then I tried to leave, and BAM. Crash. So I was practically pulling my hair out, and finally, I got it working. Took FOREVER. Damn.

And then the controller wouldn't work. So I took forever to map it.

ANYWAY.
I got it working.
Fun hax.

Hot.

A while ago, I posted a picture of a mystery game on Nitrome. Well, recently, they released a video demo on Youtube.

In case you can't read anything I haven't written myself, which is common, the game is called Steamlands.
Looks interesting.

Hurp.

Good Times... Good Times...

A social network I'm on has released some Anime to watch, which was much like their failed Cinema feature. Except I think that this one isn't connected to the network.

Anyway, they put up an amazing movie called Dead Leaves, an anime movie I saw when SyFy had a less stupid name. It was trippy as hell, a combination of FLCL and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, which makes sense, since Gurren Lagann and Dead Leaves were directed by the same guy, whom worked with the director of FLCL on a different show. Gainax is amazing, by the way.

ANYWAY, since I'm so lazy, I'll just copypasta a summery.

"Retro and Pandy, two unlikely renegades, awaken naked on Earth with no recollection of their past, but with superior physical abilities. After embarking on a brief but devastating crime spree for food, clothing and transportation in downtown Tokyo, they are captured by authorities and sent to the infamous prison called Dead Leaves, on the half destroyed moon.
Once incarcerated, they orchestrate a mass prison break and discover the secret work being carried out at the facility. Over the course of the film, it is discovered that Pandy and Retro were spies working at the facility and the crazed warden is trying to get revenge on Pandy by recreating a deranged fairy tale she remembers from her childhood.
In the finale, Pandy has Retro's child, who comes out with twin machine guns and blows the warden away. A giant caterpillar (part of the demented fairy tale) begins consuming the station until the mutant baby sacrifices himself so that his two parents can live. The film ends with Pandy and Retro crashing in the middle of Earth's dystopian metropolis in their escape pod, crushing a previously-victimized bystander."

Also, preview.

Ah, memories.

OH, by the way.
I BEAT THE GODDAMN POKEMON LEAGUE LAST NIGHT.
It was a major pain.

Ohmai.

Well, my USB optical drive came yesterday. Amazon always delivers nice and quick. But I MIGHT have to return it.
Despite the fact that it's supposed to read DVDs, it doesn't. On the page it says it doesn't, but all of information that came with it, and the box even, say it does. That's not entirely the issue. If it doesn't read the game, which I suspect it will not, I'll have to return it.

This game better work. Or I'll go all Hulk or something.

A Good Weekend, I Must Say

I'd have to say that my weekend was quite good.
First, on Saturday, I found some Warheads. I have been seriously searching for them for years. And I found them. My lovelies.
Later that day, I watched Paul. Amazing.
Then on Sunday, it was 70s Movie Day. I watched Return of the Dragon and Dirty Harry for the first time. Great movies.

Oh, I also got a USB controller for my computer. And I ordered TES4 for the PC, along with an external Optical Drive. Because my computer doesn't have one. For some reason.

Good times... good times.

NAI TROME.

Nitrome has a new game out, Chisel 2. So far so good, I suppose.
In the first one, you play as a robot, with a drill on its head. In this one, you play as the same robot. With a spring upgrade. Apparently.

Adorable little beast, no?

So yeah. He drills through planetoids, for some reason. Never really read the in-game words. For some reason.

Relevevevancy.

My, oh my, I think I need to post about something that matters. You know, like something that isn't just stuff from the top of my head. Something thought out.
That's kinda hard, though. I MEAN, I ROLL WITH THE FLOW, MAN. THAT'S HOW I DO THINGS. MY WAY. UHN.

Take it or leave it.
For realsies.

No Moar Waiting Please.

I'm sick of waiting for games. Of course, it was only one game, but I waited long enough for that one that I can't stand waiting for anything else.

November 11th should be the day ES5: Skyrim comes out. If they don't push it back. They probably won't considering the fact that dates like 11.11.11 tend to be a good day to release something. Nice and simple. Maybe symbolic?

ANYWAY. I don't want to wait... nine months. I think.

Monday, March 14, 2011

I DID STUFF MAYBE.

I stayed up late last night. Or early. Depends on how you look at it. I feel asleep at like 4 in the morn. I was listening to some music, and suddenly wanted to watch some Miyazaki movies. So I pulled up Porco Rosso. And then a Lupin 3rd movie. Go find it yourself.
I'm to tired. Jerk.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

HORRIBLE

I'm loving ES: Oblivion. Absolutely. It's like if Fable was an FPS with bad graphics. But the quality of the rest of the game more than makes up for the sub-par imagery.
It's a vast land littered with beautiful ruins and caves and giant flaming hell-portals to, well, hell. I hate those things. They have plants that try to strangle me and absolutely stationary rocks that hurt me on contact. For some reason.

But with those aside, the rest is just amazing. Wunderbar, ja?

Love At First Fight.

Leave it to me to skip school and end up getting Pokemon Black for free. And also snacks and ice cream, and an awesome new fedora. But mostly Pokemon.
I fell in love instantly. It's beautiful. Truly a work of art. Assuming the artist was a cross of Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol. Lovely.
I haven't really started it, due to my current addiction of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.
So yeah.

Watchao!

I happen to get bored easily. And I also get distracted easily.

I was in the middle of class, when, out of boredom, I pulled out some papers and started to draw. I have the bad habit of drawing eyes before anything else. When I do that, my face becomes severely disproportionate. I hate that. So, rather than get myself frustrated and try to draw a face, I drew a box around the eye. Nice and simple. But, again, out of sheer boredom, I took it up a step. I wrote a creepy caption. One-upping myself, I continued with it. Now I have a small crumpled scroll with a metal fastening, with an eye and the words "We are watching you. ALWAYS." written on it.

I should totally toss it into someones locker.

Monday, March 7, 2011

MWAHAHAHA

It's just one of those days. Theft, profanity... pseudo-pyrokinesis. No, really. I'm addicted to Monster, so I have a constant supply of it in my room. I was going to pick some up tomorrow, actually. I had three cans when I went to sleep, but when I woke up, I had one can remaining. I instantly knew who it was, of course. So I proceeded to shout expletives toward my ceiling. As I was shouting, the exposed wires behind me started to pop and spark, almost like small explosions. It nearly gave me a heart attack, but, taking advantage of a rare opportunity, I began laughing like a mad man. So either that was a wonderfully timed coincidence, or I can make crap explode with my mind. Take your pick.

Friday, March 4, 2011

Ole.

I made an arts. It's pretty. Chances of showing it off are low. But if I complete it, I'll try and upload it. You know you wanna see it. Hold on. It's coming. I swear. Maybe.

Mystery in a Calzone

I watched Conan for the first time last night. Loved it. Perfect. Not really much to say.

I do know I'm gonna watch it again. Or, at least, I hope.

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

so i herd u liek zebkips

So, my hypothtical reader, I have a question. Why do you hate me? I love you. Usually. I usually love you. And you know that. So why must you abandon me like this? You cruel beast, you. I'm crying. You can't see it, but I'm crying. Well, actually, no one can see it, since I'm crying on the inside. BUT THAT'S STILL CRYING.

In other news, Polkamanz B&W comes out on Sunday. Care to purchase me a copy? You know you want to.

polkamanz black plz. kthx

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Glarp.

I lack inspiriation. Rather, I lack motivation, which leads to a lack of inspiration. I want to do something, one of my offball projects, but I just can't do it. I get a small idea on occasion, but it's like drawing an outline of a masterpiece. If I could only manage to fill in the blanks, it'd be amazing. But in it's current state, it's rather bland.

On top of that, my minda is all over the place. It's horrible, really. I like elegant and clean and pretty. Not vulgar and grungy and hideous. It sucks, it really does.

Vittoria Agli Assassini!

I borrowed Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on Friday. I said that nothing could get better than the first one when I played it. Same with the second. Once again, the next installment of AC beat the unbeatable.

Along with cheats when replaying memories, they also introduced several other unlockables, including outfits. I've only unlocked one, but I think that's all I need.
Source:  Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
I'm sure you see why.

Thursday, February 24, 2011

HAHA. Ha. hahaha.

So, I was playing DR2 again. This time I tackled the story. I breezed through it, with the exception of the the last two bosses and a short time before them. The bosses are hard, which was expected. I usually have to try at least twice. Once for scouting, and again for the actually fight. But on my way to the "final" boss, I encountered two survivors. I tried to help them out. I did, I really did. But on of them repeatedly shot me with a machine gun. He killed me. I hate him. So the next time around, I grabbed a sniper rifle, and actually went out of my way to kill the bastard.

In the end, I killed him. I killed him dead.

Moar Games.

I've gotten so many new games in just two weeks. At least, for me. I got two GTA games, Dead Rising 2, DR2: Case Zero and DR2: Case West. I rarely get more than two games every few months, so that's a lot. Sure, two of them aren't really full games, but they count. A game is a game.

I need to buy some more, though. Never enough, right?

Gah. This sucks.

It's been too long to go without internet. I've had none since Saturday morning, and for someone whos life is 90% internet based, that sucks so horribly. I'm actually happy to go to school, if only to see some internet again.

Assist, please. Now.

I found a want. It's a super expensive keyboard. It costs more than the average computer. But it's amazing. It's not something I'd buy, even if I had the money, though. Check it out.

Crazy, right?
Did I ever mention I accept donations.

My Crow Soft

Microsoft is really pissing me off. I mentioned that on top of DR2, I bought GTA. It came, I played. It rocks. But it's no San Andreas. So I, being who I am, downloaded it. But guess what? I need a hard drive to play a downloaded original xbox game. Without being warned about it.

At least if they warned me, I could have gotten the actually game and played it on my original xbox.
Damn, dude.

Need Not Apply

I need cash. I've got about $135 saved up, but buying a TV that doesn't suck costs way more than that. I'm thinking I need a job, but screw that, man. I'm a slacker. Not worth it.

I accept any and all donations.
Okay, thanks, buh bai.

Sane in a Crazy World

I got DR2 in the mail on Saturday. Fantastic game. It's so much better than Case: West, mostly due to the variety available, and also the lack of failure caused by missing the deadlines. The Psychos kinda bring it down though. The chainsaw-motorcycle counters it. Kinda feeling lazy, so I'm not going to post links or the like.

OKAY BYEBYE.

Mein Shaft

Dirty joke? Not really. It's a pun, actually Mine Shaft.
Nitrome has a new game out, Canary, which has you playing the part of a "Miner's Canary", which is, in this case, a human with a railgun and a jetpack. Also, the mines are actually asteroids.

It's kinda fun, which is great, because that's so much better than what they've been doing.

North, South, East, West.

On Tuesday, I ordered Dead Rising 2. Also GTA something. I can't remember which one.
I also took off yesterday. Got bored. So I bought Deadrising 2: Case West. It is amazing. It's a crossover of the two games. You play as Chuck Greene from the second game, but Frank West from the first joins you in the zombie slaughter. The second character opens up the ability for local co-op. Epic.

It's a damn good game. Always laughing at the brainless zombies.
I mean, come on. You can't spell "slaughter"without "laughter", right?

Kero-kero

Over the weekend, I discovered a new anime that I absolutely love. Sgt. Frog is about a frog. Who is a Sergeant. Named Keroro, which means frog. So yeah.
The plot is something along the lines of an alien invasion gone wrong, since the leader of the invasion happens to be incompetant. He ends up bunking with two kids and their mother, whom are all exploiting him for their own gain. It's just a series of misadventures and such. Lovely.

It's kinda weird, but that's clearly why I love it so much. I happen to be a fan of the offbeat. Duh.

Puh-sigh-trans

I'm looking into different types of music as of late, and I found another type I absolutely love.

If you don't like it, who cares.
You're not me, so you're unimportant.

EYEZ-MAZINGING

There's a game site, EYEZMAZE, home fo the GROW series. And it is a classic series/site. I'm not a regular like I am with Nitrome, but I always play any new games when the news gets to me.
Original and comical. And the characters are kinda cute, unless they're one of the numerous freaky monsters.

Play and enjoy. I command it.

The Good, The Bad, and The Nothing.

So, the good news. I'm on the way out of my rut. Kinda. I'm on the verge, more like. I'd be out if I could actually draw right now. My hand is almost instantly in severe pain when I try to draw. Horrible. But I did manage to put up with it to find a way to draw satisfactory eyes in PS.

Lovely, right?

Met in a Fated Encounter.

Despite the Pokemon refference, this has nothing to do with it.

Last night, I was searching for a song called "The Dozens" by MC Hawking. I couldn't find it, but I found another song of the same name.

Absolutely amazing.

RE: Slump. Bah.

I'm once again in a slump. I drift in and out of them. And I get depressed and emo when I try to draw during a slump. It's really awful.

Also, I keep typing "awful" as "aweful".
Why is this does?

Über Leet.

ROMs. I've mentioned them before. They are godly. And, in an effort to make them better, I've inserted my presence into the hacked ROM universe. I've taken a normal Pokemon Emerald, and fixed it up. Started to, actually. But close enough.

I may release it, if it goes any where, but we all know that I never go anywhere with my many offbeat projects.

Crazy, Man. Crazy.

I watched an epic movie over the weekend. It's called Goemon. It's got the surreal visuals of Speed Racer and other greenscreen movies combined with freaking ninjas. I loved it.

You need to see it.

I've known of the character since I first watched an anime called Lupin III. The Goemon of that show is actually his descendant, but he is just as perfect.

Go watch that too.

I Made An Artz

I finally drew a full size picture in my book. It was more of a test sketch, to get the feel of the large paper. But I kinda love it. I'd upload it, but again. Large paper. It'll take some work...

OH-KAY, BUH-BYE NOW.

My Mind, Unmade.

So yeah. Nihongo or Deustch. I want to learn both. But I can't. So what do I do? I can't just halfass it, can I?

Okay, I probably can, but I shouldn't...

Dreaddreaddreaddreaddread.

I have purchased a large drawing pad. And two different sizes of Pigma Micron pens. Love them.
But I haven't yet proceeded with the redraw. I'm kinda dreading it. Gott.

In other news, I have decided to try and (re)learn Japanese. Mostly because of those goddamn subtitles in anime. Kinda heard to watch when you have to read it at the same time.
Chances of success: -50%.
Probably.

Itsa Me, Mario.

I borrowed Assassins Creed 2 from a friend, and instantly knew I loved it more than the first one. It's great so far, and I'm half done. And when you first head out of the city, you meet the characters uncle, Mario Auditore. And when his name is first mentioned by the character himself, I died laughing. It was so out of place. His words were "It'sa me, Mario!" That's not the kind of phrase I'd expect to hear in a game called Assassins Creed. Fantastic.

On a side note, I must say, I'm surprised about how much of the Italian seen and heard in the game I actually understand.

50-50?

Bill and Ted is an awesome movie. The first one. The second, nowhere near as great, but would do fine on it's own. And news of a third movie got me a little worried, at least until I started reading up on it. From what I hear, it's supposed to be in the future, relative to the second movie. About 20 years, actually. So it takes place in the present. And it should have the original cast. No Carlin replacement either, which is a good thing. Don't want a new actor to wipe his filthy shoes on Rufus.

But my feelings are still mixed. It's another sequal, but it's also an interesting idea.
Well, it's still three years away, so no worries.

Hiatus. Already? Yes, Already.

So I'm putting the comic on hiatus already, but for one reason, and one reason only. I need bigger paper. Seems kinda stupid, I thought so too, when someone suggest I go and buy a large pad. But I've quickly found out that the detail I need has to have more space than an 8.5'x11' sheet can give me.

When I redraw my completed pages, I'll be sure to upload some for anyone who wishes to read it.

Nitrome: The Returnining

I return with news of another awful game from Nitrome. They used to be so wonderful, but now they mostly suck an insane amount. Rush is a single-button game, a genre which I hate, despite the relative originality of the concept, which is something I tend to love.

It's problem is a bit of a paradox, actually. The simplicity of the game play is offset by the complexity of the game, which doesn't balance it out, rather it tips the scales.

Nitrome, why must you vex me so?

Thursday, January 6, 2011

GOOD NEWS, EVERYBODY.

I think that the comic so far is promising. I've only done four pages, one of which is a splash page. But if I really go further, I have little doubt about the awesomeness of it. Well, sorta.

Is "R O B I T" a stupid name?
Good.

Originally Unoriginal

Once more, I attempt to venture into the possible maybe sorta unknown. But not really. The world of Indie comics isn't new to me, linear story is. Generally, I take off of my favorite comics and have short seperate strips. That's less overwhelming. BUT I SHALL ATTEMPT IT NONETHELESS. And probably fail. But hey, it's something to do.

Am I right, or what?

Redo

Well, since the person I went to see Tron with wouldn't shut the hell up through the whole damn movie, I'm probably going to see it again. IN 3-D. -cue awesome music-
I never saw any 3D movies before, with the exeption of the ones that were part of a ride at Disney. Stereograms are my thing, though.

What about you, mostly likely nonexistant readers? Do you enjoy 3D movies?
No one asked you, so shut up.
Jerks.

Fable -heart-

I got my 360, and Fable 2 and 3. And I love it all. I also got a Kinect, which I didn't expect to enjoy, but it turns out I do. It's surprisingly responsive, which was, well, a surprise. Sadly, I also got Tron Evolution, which was god aweful. It's just far to difficult. A sad thing, but one that can't be avoided. Games that are based on movies are always horrible, due to either strictly linear play, or, as is this case, due to extreme difficulty.

Delivery.

So Tron delivered. The one thing I thought it needed, it got. Explosions. Although there was a problem. Clu was a hideous CGI version of Jeff Bridges. But who cares.

Tron and explosions and Olivia Wilde, oh my.
