Slump. Bah.

My art brain has hit a super long jam, a perpetual slump. And I hate it. I want to draw, but I feel like there's nothing to draw. It's a rather common occurence, but I'm never used to it. And it's never lasted this long. It's usually for a week or so, so I wouldn't call it a slump. But time moves quickly for me, so it still feels forever.

Damn it. Insipire me, internetz.

Yeh.

Another great game for the PS, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is one of the two games that rally got me hooked on video games. Raziel is an ultra cool mega badass, and I bet few dare to disagree with me. The controls were a bit off, but other than that, the game is one of the tops among the many masterpieces I seem to come across. I haven't every really played the game, not all the way through. But hey, that's what emulators are for, at least in my eyes.

And hey, aren't first impressions very important?

Conker This, Punk.

I went on an emulator downloading spree last week, but I quickly ran out of ideas. I mean, FF8 wouldn't occupy me forever, right? So I remembered something my friend mentioned. Conker's Bad Fur Day. When I first looked at it, it seemed too cutesy for me. But then I figured it was worth a shot. And that drunken money grubbing ultra-profane Tails knock-off captured my heart instantly. It was a thing of beauty, really.

Go play it.
Unless you are offended by blocky rats exploding from eating leaving cheese. Or by a cute cursing squirrel being crushed by a living chunk of evil metal.

Or, if you're cheap, and also don't want to TECHNICALLY break the law. Ahem.

Flashback: FFVIII?!?

Of all the video game intros, that has to be my favorite. Of all the video game weapons, the gunblade has to be my favorite. Of all the video game characters, Squall Leonhart has to be my favorite. And the only game with all three must be my favorite. And Final Fantasy VIII truely is. A classic game, and my introduction into the FF world. Or worlds. The only thing they tend to have in common is the system. They also seem to have at least one super cool character.

Fantastic plot, easy-ish battle system, interesting dialog, and an entire world are what this game offered the world. Not only that, but the game is so awesome, the entire story spans four discs. It may not have the continuity that its predecessor spawned, but it doesn't need to. Any continuation would destroy the perfect it has already obtained, which I'd truly hate to see.

And the best part, at least for me, was the fact that I got it for free. This time.

Hey, loving something doesn't mean I'll pay for it.
I'm always broke, remember?

Djinn Are For Fighting Monsters...

Golden Sun. I thought it looked like a cool game. And it is. It's a new game for the DS, which is based on a game for the GBA. Speaking of GBA, it's actually only been just over a year since I last played on one. Well, a physical one. I no longer have a DS, thanks to that satanic saboteur, paper. Yeah, a piece of paper broke my DS. Anyway, with out a DS, I couldn't play the new Golden Sun game. So I went back about ten years. Even though I no longer own a GBA, I DO own a GBA emulator. DS emulators don't play commercial ROMs.

Blahblahblah, long story short, I beat the GBA Golden Sun , and am working on the second one.

Okay, bye.

Weekend Speshul.

So I came across a pretty sweet video, and just felt like I had to share with the class. I've been a huge fan of Nerdcore since I came upon it one wonderful night. But there are always new things to discover. I was looking up "Braggadocio", a word which I was repeating for no reason. And I had a feeling I would figure out where I heard it by looking it up on Youtube. And I did. And, as always, I saw something under the related videos. It was an old G4 ad. But the interesting videos rarely stop at one.

The next one was this.

Enjoy it, in all it's nerdy beauty.

Make Me Money.

I'm getting an estimated total worth of the YuGiOh cards I have, which is so far over $100, and I'm not done yet. I can't wait to see how much it is in all. So, anyone interested in buying? Who needs to wait for a site to sell? Not me. Buy my stuff. Now.
Zeb commands it.

HIS NAME IS ROBERT PAULSON.

What is your favorite movie? Unless you say Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Shaun of the Dead, or Zombieland, your are no longer my friend, and  I'm going to have to turn my back on you now.

Those four are  the greatest movies ever, but the greatest of the great would have to be Fight Club. Truth be told, though, I suspect that MY Fantastic Four may become the Infallible Five. The new Tron movie has so much going for it, that it may in fact top the list. Daft Punk composed all the music, as well as make a cameo appearance. It is the sequel to a great movie, which is not a bad thing in this case, since the effects are aweful by today's standards. Oh, also, it has Olivia Wilde, who is the only reason I didn't completely hate Year One.

The one thing that could mess it up would be the lack of charm that made the original so wonderful. Of course, as long they add lots explosions, who cares about charm? ... There will be lots of explosions, won't there?

I demand explosions, Tron.

It's Time To Duel!11!ONE

A friend of mine is a serious collector of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Like, super serious. He has several thousand cards. He wants to open up an online card shop. The dilemma? His total computer skills add up to about -100%. So he wants me to make a site for him. And I estimate that I'll get to making a homepage before the whole idea faceplants. Look forward to that.
I guess.

Bird, Plane, Superuser?

I rooted my Droid. Honestly, it was fairly pointless. The only real advantage I noticed was that I can now use Wireless Tethering, which is using my phone signal to set up a mobile Wi-Fi network. It's pretty cool, since my Droids USB is kinda messed up, and the lightest bump disconnects it.

Was it worth voiding my warranty? Yes.
Was it worth the possibility of destroying my Droid forever? Yeah, probably.

Linguisticalatoring?

A bunch of kids have tried to invent their own language, though few have succeeded. I always failed, but my language really just a picture cipher. So now I've tried to make my own language again, and it's actually going good so far. I kinda just drew a vertical line, and put some circles next to it. It's got like 40 characters, though. And that's not counting numbers and punctuation. The hard part is translating English into my Psuedo-Ancient language...
Suppose it's about time I opened up a dictionary?

Copper Ocelot?

A while ago, I "discovered" the formula for a band name. It's really simple, actually. It must have two words in the name. The first word is a metal, gem, color, or adverb. The second word is an animal.
So when I told my friend, he quickly came up with a few, one of which was Copper Ocelot. And I have to say, that name is awesome.

Rad.

Is There Anybody Out There? Just Nod If You Can Here Me...

Source: Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Good.

I suppose I'll be doing another music post. Pink Floyd is todays subject. I'm tempted to do some puns, to break the thin ice... That was aweful.

I think the first Pink Floyd song I heard was Brain Damage. I instantly fell in loved with them, and I actually recall buying The Wall, both the album and VHS. It was absolutely fantastic. Roger Waters is a genius, and one of my heroes. I look up to very fell people, so that is signifigant. Ich liebe them.

I suppose that this is goodbye, cruel world... that was painful, even to me...
